Statue of father Damien crowns its school for first time

For the first time in school history Damien Memorial now has a statue of its namesake saint on campus.

The school unveiled the 7-foot tall, marble statue of saint damien de veuster before students and faculty.

The sculpture was designed in Shanghai, China and donated by Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan Perreira of Honolulu.

The statue is mounted next to the campus chapel.
