Some furry friends were camped out at Servco Subaru Waialae in Kaimuki on Saturday for Subaru Hawaii’s "Share the Love" event.
Subaru Hawaii teamed up with the Oahu SPCA to host a pet adoption and collection drive. Oahu SPCA volunteers were on-site to help find new homes for some of the dogs and cats from the shelter.
In celebration of the holidays, Subaru Hawaii announced that it will donate $250 for every new vehicle sold by Subaru Hawaii dealers from November 1 to December 31, 2011, up to $20,000 to a group of great causes – Oahu SPCA, Hawaii Literacy, SPCA Maui, Hawaii Wildlife Fund and Hawaii Island Humane Society.
The public will also have an opportunity to vote for their favorite participating non-profit organization through Subaru Hawaii’s Facebook page <http://www.facebook.com/SubaruHI)>. At the end of the sales event period on December 31, Subaru Hawaii will award the organization with the most votes an additional $5,000.
In addition to its monetary donation, Subaru Hawaii dealers will be hosting promotional adoption and collection drive events at its dealerships across the state.
OAHU
The public is encouraged to "Share the Love" during this holiday season by donating bleach, cat litter, Dawn dish soap, canned cat food, paper towels, trash bags, old linens (towels, blankets and sheets), and other pet care supplies such as food, leashes, collars or puppy pads at Subaru, when the Oahu SPCA will be on-site to find loving homes for dogs and cats during the Oahu adoption events:

The public is encouraged to "Share the Love" during this holiday season by donating gift cards to Lowe’s and Home Depot to help fund much needed fencing materials and hardware for Hawaii Wildlife Fund’s turtle project when the non-profit will be on-site to offer adoption certificates for marine life:
