The suspect in the murder of a former Hawaii resident in Los Angeles has been charged with the crime.
The Los Angeles Police Department says Richard Herrera, 29, was charged with murder.
Herrera is accused of stabbing Bobby Khamvongsa, 27, to death.
Khamvongsa was found early Saturday morning lying in the street with multiple stab wounds.
Detectives believe the two men were involved in a dispute prior to the stabbing.
Khamvongsa’s brother say Herrera attended Kaimuki High School with his brother.
Police have not released a motive for the stabbing.
