The suspect in the deadly beating of a Makakilo man made his initial court appearance on Wednesday.
27-year-old Royce Gouveia is charged with manslaughter.
Last week Thursday, Gouveia allegedly punched 29-year-old Albert Meyer, who then fell and hit his head on the pavement. He died the next day.
Court records say witnesses saw the two men talking to each other, and then saw Gouveia dragging Meyer’s body on the side of the road.
Gouveia remains in custody unable to post bail of $250,000.
