Suspect wanted in Tantalus stabbing

Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating a man wanted for assault.

According to Honolulu police, the incident happened on Oct. 9 when a man was riding his bicycle on Tantalus Drive and observed a male standing by a red Honda that was parked on the side of the road.

The bicyclist rode pass the male and heard foot steps behind him. The bicyclist was then stabbed in the lower abdomen.

The suspect then ran back to his vehicle and fled down Tantalus Drive.

Police believe the suspect is between 30 and 40 years old. He’s about 6’3" and weighs 220 pounds. He has a shaved head and was last seen wearing a gray shirt and black pants.
