Thousands expected to visit Hawaii for Honolulu Festival

A celebration of the arts and culture will bring performers from across the Pacific to Hawaii next month.

The 18th annual Honolulu Festival will be held March 2-4.

Thousands of visitors are expected to travel to Hawaii to attend this year’s festival, which will include a tribute to the victims and survivors of last year’s deadly tsunami in Japan.

"This year will be a very special year because we’ll also look back at the tragedy and pray for those whose lives have forever been changed," says Mike McCartney, Hawaii Tourism Authority.

All performances are free and will be held at various Waikiki spots, along with the Hawaii Convention Center and Ala Moana Center.
