Three people were injured Tuesday morning in a construction accident in East Oahu.
Fire officials were called to the scene about 10 a.m in Waialae Iki on a report of workers buried in a trench.
Fellow workers were able to dig the three people out before fire crews arrived. One was taken to the hospital in critical condition, the other two were not as seriously injured.
Fire crews say the workers were digging a ditch next to an existing wall, and were in a trench about 3 to 4 feet deep, when dirt fell and buried them.
