Town hall meeting focuses on education

HONOLULU (AP) – A town hall meeting in west Oahu will allow the public to ask questions about Hawaii’s education system.

State Rep. Jo Jordan is organizing the Wednesday evening meeting at Waianae District Park.

She’ll be joined by Department of Education Complex Area Superintendent Lisa DeLong and Kamehameha Schools CEO Dee Jay Mailer.

Topics being discussed include the amount of money spent for education statewide, how public schools are performing and what improvements are planned.
