Two men found guilty in a bloody attack on a taxi driver were sentenced on Wednesday.
John Walton received life in prison with the possibility of parole for attempted murder.
His uncle, Courage Lee Elkshoulder, was sentenced to 20 years in prison for assault and robbery.
"His right shoulder is lumped and the area where it happened is numb, as well as to his hand, where the action occurred. It’s a very unfortunate incident, but they’ve moved on. And they’d like to just get on with their lives," said Kurt Tran, the victim’s son.
The knife attack happened in Manoa in 2008.
Taxi driver Minh Van Tran survived after being stabbed in the neck.
