Fire officials say a failed power strip caused a fire at Pier 38 Friday night.
It started around 8 p.m. in a warehouse owned by Pacific Ocean Producers, also known as P.O.P.
Firefighters were able to get the fire under control in about 20 minutes.
According to fire officials, the fire was mainly confined to the second floor of the warehouse, which had lots of marine safety equipment.
Damage is estimated at $450,000 to the building and contents.

About forty Honolulu firefighters responded to a two alarm fire at Honolulu harbor.
Fire officials say the second floor of this two-story warehouse caught fire just after eight o’clock.
Officials say several businesses including Nico’s Pier 38 restaurant and P.O.P Fishing and Marine use the space.
No one was inside when the warehouse caught fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
