Police have identified the motorcyclist who crashed into a guardrail along Route 132 as 53-year-old Jill E. Peterson of Hilo.

A woman died Sunday after crashing a motorcycle into a guard rail on Route 132 in Pahoa on Sunday afternoon.
Big Island police say the woman was taken to the hospital in critical condition where she later died.
Route 132 was closed from below Nanawale Boulevard to just above Lava Tree State Parkfor several hours while police investigated the incident.
