UPW workers begin vote on new contract

UPW workers began voting Monday on their new contract.
The ratification vote is taking place at Aloha Stadium.
The tentative agreement covers 8,500 blue collar workers in Unit One.
The two year deal allows UPW members to take furloughs instead of a five percent across the board pay cut.
It also includes a 50-50 split on health insurance premiums.
Voting on the neighbor islands will conclude next week Monday.
