The key Las Vegas industry numbers for 2025 are in, and it’s something of a mixed bag. Bad news is the visitor count is getting the headlines, but the gambling win held up. The statewide casino win set a new record, taking in $15.8 billion for a 1.2% increase over a record 2024. The Strip eked out a .11% increase, winning $8.8 billion, and Downtown posted a record high $951.2 million, up 2.1%. It was that visitor count, though, that has the industry worried. The total count for the year came in at 38.5 million visitors, down from 41.7 million in 2024. It’s a troubling 7.5% decline and the first drop since the pandemic count of 19 million in 2020. It’s also a trend that doesn’t seem to be subsiding, with 13 straight months of year-over-year declines and counting.
