Kamehameha Highway at Kawela Bay is closed in the Haleiwa bound direction due to a critical crash. It happened around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The victim had to be removed from a vehicle by rescue crews before being taken to a hospital.
There is no word yet on what caused the crash, or if any other victims or vehicles were involved.
