With a 2012 salary of $9.5 million, Victorino will be getting a substantial raise in pay with an organization looking to rebuild after trading Carl Crawford, Adrian Gonzalez, and Josh Beckett to the Dodgers on August 26th.
Victorino, who started 2012 with the Phillies, was traded to the Dodgers on July 31st. The two-time National League All-Star hit .255 with a .704 OPS and 39 stolen bases in 2012. He had spent seven seasons with Philadelphia.
The St. Anthony graduate had been rumored to have been in negotiations with the Giants as well as the Indians, but San Francisco signed center fielder Angel Pagan, a cornerstone of their 2012 World Series run, yesterday to a 40 million dollar deal.
