Maui rescue crews rescued a visitor who was hiking on the Halawa Valley Trail. It happened just after 12:30 Friday afternoon. The 59 year-old woman from Calgary, Canada was hiking with family when she slipped and broke her ankle about two miles up the water fall trail.
She was put on a backboard and carried down the trail. She was taken to Molokai General by ambulance in stable condition.
