Mostly dry trade wind weather will prevail for the next several days, with brief showers favoring windward areas during nights and mornings. Otherwise, clouds and a few showers will develop over the leeward Big Island during the afternoons. Trade winds will remain moderate, before strengthening by the end of the week. On Wednesday, expect it to be a very hot day as winds will change and push vog over the islands.
And Lahaina Noon, when the sun passes directly overhead and you lose your shadow, starts with Hilo at 12:16 p.m. on Wednesday, Kona the following day, and on up the island chain ending with Lihu’e on May 31.
