Voting district maps have been finalized after months of delays.
The Office of Elections says candidates for state House and Senate seats can now pull nomination papers as soon as Friday.
No seats could be filed for while the maps were in limbo.
The Reapportionment Commission voted 8-0 in favor.
Redistricting was done over after the Hawaii supreme court struck down the commission’s first version, ordering 108,000 non-permanent residents to be removed.
That shifted a Senate and House seat to the Big Island.
