A wanted fugitive has barricaded himself inside a home on Maui.
As a precaution, police have evacuated nearby homes.
According to police, the stand-off started at a home on Opukea Street in Kahului around 1 o’clock Wednesday afternoon.
The man inside has been identified as 22-year-old Josiah Okudara.
We featured Okudara on Hawaii’s Most Wanted in May.
He’s wanted on attempted murder charges stemming from a shooting in July of last year and is a person of interest in a fatal accident on Maui earlier this year.
It is unknown if Okudara is armed or if anyone else is inside the house.
