Hawaii surfer Shane Dorian took full advantage of the swell hitting the islands on Tuesday.
Dorian, an experienced big wave surfer, took on the waves at Jaws on Maui’s north coast. One of his massive barrel rides was caught on video and posted as one of the early entries into the Billabong XXL Global Big Wave Awards.
The awards recognize the best in big wave riding, wherever and whenever they happen, during the year.
