The annual Honolulu Hale Christmas tree topping ceremony kicked off Friday with a not so traditional holiday show by the Mayor.
Mayor Peter Carlisle got down Gangnam style with several members of his staff.
Later an ornament was placed on top of the 50-foot pine tree that is the centerpiece of Honolulu City lights.
Saturday, Dec. 1 the tree lighting ceremony and parade will begin at 6 p.m. Drivers should expect lane closures.
