The Department of Water announces that power has been restored to the Kalaheo deep well site as of noon Sunday, but a water conservation request remains in effect for the lower Kalaheo area until further notice.
Water conservation is still needed to allow water storage tank levels in this area to normalize.
Residents located on the makai side of Kaumualii Highway, or lower Kalaheo, are asked to limit water consumption to essential uses only. The water conservation request for the mauka side of Kaumualii Highway, or upper Kalaheo, has been lifted.
Essential water uses include cooking, bathing and toilet flushing. Water conservation measures include refraining from car washing, turning off automatic sprinklers and outdoor irrigation systems, and using water wisely indoors and outdoors.
Updates will be sent as new information becomes available.
