There are several road closures in Kailua. It’s all because of a 12-inch water main break.
It happened just before 1 a.m. Friday near Maluniu Avenue and Kainui Drive. The northbound lanes of Maluniu Avenue are closed.
Traffic is being turned around at Kainui Drive and Oneawa Street and Kainui Drive and Kainalu Drive.
About 25 customers are without water. Board of water supply crews will be working on the break all day.
A water wagon has been placed near the break site.
