The waves of Kaneohe Bay will be a test site for harnessing energy.
The U.S. Department of Energy is releasing 500-thousand dollars to test a wave energy conversion device.
The goal is to harness energy from waves for clean, renewable power creating new industries and new jobs. The one year project will be underway at the US Navy’s wave energy test site in Kaneohe Bay.
