Due to the inclement weather and closure of Hanalei Bridge, Hanalei Elementary will be closed for Monday, May 9, 2011.
The school bus transportation services from Haena to Hanalei will not be operating.
Students living in Hanalei to Haena who attend Kapaa Middle and Kapaa High schools will not have school bus services due to the bridge closure.
Only Hanalei Elementary School is closed. All other DOE schools are open.
Teachers and staff of Hanalei School are to follow their bridge closure plan and report to their assigned schools for the day. Hanalei School will reopen on Tuesday, May 10, 2011.
