West Oahu man found guilty of manslaughter

A west Oahu man who beat another man to death has been found guilty of manslaughter.

Paul Kaeo was charged with second degree murder in the beating death of Charles Kahumoku.

The attack happened in May of 2009. Kahumoku was dating Kaeo’s estranged wife.

The woman was also Kahumoku’s cousin.

According to court documents, Kaeo was upset about Kahumoku’s relationship with the woman.

Kaeo is scheduled to be sentenced on October 17. The maximum sentence for manslaughter is twenty years in prison.
