The winds across the state will eventually weaken and wind advisory from the National Weather Service is cancelled. We will still have 15 to 20 or 25 mph winds.
It won’t be as gusty as it was this week to the northeast of the islands is a thick rain band.
This rain band will be tonight’s windward and mauka showers.
This might also make tomorrow morning a little wet…so don’t be surprised if your Saturday morning includes a few showers.
On the looping radar you can see how there is almost as line of rain that has moved through Kauai today. This rain band will sink south through the islands tonight.
Our exclusive KHON2 first alert pinpoint radar, windward areas of Kauai from Lihue to Hanalei have seen those showers. On Oahu, not as much but we have some earlier shower activity over Nuuanu and Manoa.
Light raindrops for east Haleakala and the west Maui mountains.
Kona coast with some light rain this afternoon but the Hilo and Waiakea areas have seen the most rainfall so far today with over an inch and a half of rain in the last 24 hours.
This weekend we start with a few showers on Saturday morning and winds still gusty at 15-25 mph, gusts to 30 mph.
Saturday night, light showers, low near 64 degrees.
Sunday will be the driest day of the weekend…sunny skies and slightly lighter winds.
Not much in surf tomorrow…but next week…south shores will see a few bumps and we might se a advisory level northwest swell by the end of the work week.
Winds are weakening and after a few showers Saturday, both the rain and the winds will lighten up though the beginning of next week.
