Police are investigating the apparent drowning of a woman in waters off the Makapuu lighthouse.
Rescue crews were called to the Allen Davis beach area around 9:40 a.m. this morning after witnesses reported a swimmer in distress.
Fire officials say when they located the swimmer, she was unresponsive.
Fire crews performed CPR on the woman, believed to be in her 60s.
She was taken to the hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
