Police say 74 year-old Eufemia Miranda of Waipahu was riding on a moped with her husband when he lost control causing her to fall off.
It happened around nine o’clock yesterday morning near Hoaeae Street.
The woman suffered critical injuries and was transported to the Queen’s Medical Center.
Her 78 year-old husband did not suffer serious injuries.
Police do not believe speed or alcohol were factors in this crash.
The man operating the moped was not arrested, because two people riding on a moped is against the law.
