Workers claim to have been misled and mistreated since M-Waikiki and Modern Management took over the hotel from Marriott.
"We want to get a sense of stability here, we want a contract. We want the same local five nothing better, nothing worse eighteen the same thing that every other stable hotel in Waikiki has," said Jason Maxwell, a rallying bartender.
The workers were protesting for better job security.
Negotiations between the two sides are continuing.
