World War II veteran and Hawaii resident Harold Estes died this afternoon.
The retired as a Navy boatswain’s master-chief.
After his military career, Estes was involved with bringing the USS Missouri and USS Bowfin to Pearl Harbor, and was enshrined in the Navy League’s Hall of Fame.
Services are pending.
Estes was 96.
