Honolulu police plan large-scale exercise

HONOLULU (AP) – Honolulu police plan to hold a large-scale training exercise this weekend.

The exercises will be held between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Sunday at several places in West Oahu.

The police are asking the public not to be alarmed by teams of officers and police vehicles traveling between Waipahu, Ewa and Kalaeloa.

HPD said in a press release it expects to close parts of some roads in Kapolei for the exercise.

The drills are closed to the public and media.
