Developer unveils new plans for former Kam Drive-In site

The developer planning to build retail and office space on the site of the old Kam Drive-In unveiled its newest renderings to the community Monday night.

The new plan shortens building heights and provides more than 3,100 parking stalls.

The developer, Robertson Properties Group, made the changes after community members raised issue over building heights and traffic and parking congestion.

"At the end of the day for me these are our customers, when we build a project these are the people we hope will come to our market and our shops so we really want to hear from them," said John Manavian, Robertson Properties Group vice president.

The developer plans to submit a draft EIS to the state in December.

At that point the community will be given 60 days to weigh in.
