Clock ticking for former HPD officer

A former Honolulu Police Officer found guilty of sexual assault failed to appear for his sentencing Wednesday morning.

Michael Tarmoun was supposed to be sentenced for second degree sex assault.  He was found guilty of forcing a former Waikiki prostitute to have sex with him.

Tarmoun was facing a maximum sentence of ten years in prison.

He has until 4:30 Wednesday afternoon to appear in court.  If he does not, Tarmoun could have his $35,000 dollar bond revoked and a bench warrant issued for his arrest.
