Rally to restore funding

A peaceful rally was held at the State Capitol Tuesday morning to encourage Hawaii lawmakers to restore funding to health and human services programs.

About 200 members of the group PHOCUSED gathered at the State Capitol.

Organizations aimed at helping the elderly, disabled, abused and homeless all participated in the event then visited lawmakers to explain their message.

PHOCUSED members say they are under funded and want moneys that have been cut over the past couple of years restored.
