Dina Brown’s voice on the empty-homes tax issue makes many valid points that should be closely considered and responded to by political advocates (“Empty homes tax raises many issues,” Star-Advertiser, Island Voices, Dec. 1). Like many government programs, the cost of administering the proposed tax will result in more inefficient government bureaucracy with probably very little actual benefit for our shortage of affordable homes.
