It’s no wonder, then, that Hawaii is among some 20 states that filed a federal lawsuit Monday challenging the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s demand to turn over personal information of millions of people receiving federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) food aid.
