Vegas Advisor: Annual F1 disruption begins again next week

If you’re visiting Las Vegas in September, be prepared for what is now an annual reality: traffic disruptions in preparation for the Las Vegas Grand Prix. The dreaded road work starts up again on Sept. 8, a week later than last year; the teardown will be completed before Christmas, a few weeks earlier than last year, for a total 11-week schedule. Work on the Strip will take place only between midnight and 9 a.m. weekdays; the rest of the circuit will be involved 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday to Friday. The bridge over Flamingo will be erected between Oct. 12 and 17, shutting down that intersection (at Koval) entirely. The Formula One race will run Nov. 22.
