Off the news: Focus on 10 miles of Red Hill pipelines

The huge, painstaking task of dismantling the controversial Red Hill Bulk Fuel Storage Facility is moving apace, with cleaning of the massive pipelines now underway in preparation for removal. Though most of the millions of gallons of fuel have already been drained from the facility’s 20 massive tanks, residual fuel sludge remains in pipeline nooks that must be removed via a special technique.
