The Poker Palace in North Las Vegas is closing Oct. 1, but it’s been announced that it’s not permanent. The casino will reopen under new ownership and likely a new name after an extensive overhaul. The new owner is Truckee Gaming, which owns nine small neighborhood casinos in northern Nevada, including Rail City in Sparks, along with Club Fortune in Henderson. The Poker Palace property will be renovated, with a new exterior; new walls, floor coverings and ceilings; a refreshed and expanded casino; new restrooms; and a new restaurant with expanded seating. The reopening is slated for early 2026.
