Letter: Recognize Guard’s many contributions

As a proud member of the National Guard with 35 years of service, it is disheartening to see governors and mayors publicly discredit our vital role, particularly amid rising crime and illegal immigration. Remarks like “we don’t want the Guard here” undermine our dedication and sacrifice, and disrespect the hard work we put into our training and readiness.
