Letter: Enforce vehicle safety check, registration laws

With all of the vehicles with expired safety checks and registrations on the road right now, some of them five years or more, I don’t know why the city and mayor just don’t eliminate people having to renew their safety checks and registrations. It’s really unfair that some people have to dish out $300 to $400 of their hard-earned money every year just to be compliant with this regulation, while others don’t.
