Letter: Administration reveals severe lack of empathy

Why would the leader of a free country let 42 million of its citizens go hungry (“Administration ordered to fully fund SNAP,” Star-Advertiser, Nov. 7)? Why does it take a court order to make him release funding? It shouldn’t happen. But it did.
