Letter: Glad state protects from federal SNAP meddling

Once again Hawaii defends us against unnecessary, harmful and potentially illegal federal overreach (“Don’t snap SNAP for private data,” Star-Advertiser, Our View, Dec. 4). Again the Trump administration and formerly neutral federal agencies target the least privileged among us — SNAP applicants and recipients.
