Letter: HMSA-HPH plan no benefit to health care

The proposed HMSA-Hawaii Pacific Health alliance appears to be a power grab by HMSA so that it can double down on so-called “value-based” payment. This policy is a major factor in driving primary care doctors out of practice and worsening our physician shortage.
