Letter: Title IX on display at Olympics, UH sports

After watching the Winter Olympics, as well as the last Rainbow Wahine basketball game and a few matches of the SandBows on the beach last weekend, I said to myself numerous times, “Thank you, Title IX.” The federal civil rights law in 1972 banned sex discrimination in all U.S. educational settings. Equal opportunity ­— it’s right, it’s good for all of us.
