Column: Peace Corps far from done at 65

The Peace Corps turned 65 on March 1, and it is not ready to retire. Since 1961 when President John F. Kennedy created the Peace Corps, more than 240,000 Peace Corps Volunteers (PCVs) have promoted peace and friendship throughout the world through community-based development and intercultural understanding. Fifteen hundred PCVs have come from Hawaii.
