Off the news: Victory for PBS and NPR, but not for CPB

President Donald Trump violated the U.S. Constitution’s First Amendment, which protects free speech, by ordering that all federal funding be halted for public television organization PBS and public radio operation NPR, a federal judge ruled Tuesday. The decision out of Washington, D.C., found that Trump cut off support in “retaliation” for reporting and expressing opinions on matters he disagrees with.
