Letter: Curb late-night usage of emergency vehicle sirens

With the current attention to traffic noise and noise monitoring/ticketing camera pilot program at a cost of $2.5 million, highlighted in the March 9 editorial, “Noise cameras are a sound idea,” and the excellent March 30 letter, “Car noise impacts health, enforcement is overdue,” I call for the mayor and emergency vehicle drivers to use some restraint on the ear-splitting sirens.
