Editorial: Brown water calls for better efforts

Molokai, with its steep terrain, is especially vulnerable to erosion. Invasive species, ranching, agriculture and development that disturbs ground cover has created problems reaching back to the earliest years of Western contact and influence. When it rains, runoff darkens thick bands of muddied water along the coast.
